Summary: Elite Language Solutions (“ELS”) uses personal information to provide lessons, respond to enquiries, operate student accounts, save learning progress, deliver teacher feedback, process subscriptions, invite verified customers to review their experience and provide optional AI-assisted speaking practice. We do not intentionally store payment-card details on ELS servers.

Who we are

Elite Language Solutions provides English-language training and online learning services. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@elitelanguage.co.uk.

Information we may collect

  • Contact and account information such as your name and email address.
  • Enquiry and booking information you submit through forms or messages.
  • Learning information such as quiz scores, progress, homework, teacher comments, speaking reports and transcripts.
  • Audio you choose to submit for AI speaking practice. The current platform sends recordings for transcription and feedback; the ELS application does not intentionally keep the raw recording after that processing step.
  • Subscription and billing status received from our payment provider. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by ELS.
  • Technical and analytics information such as device/browser data, pages visited and cookie identifiers where analytics is enabled.

Why we use personal information

We use information where it is necessary to provide a service or account you requested, to administer payments and subscriptions, to respond to enquiries, to protect the security and integrity of the service, to meet legal obligations, and where appropriate for our legitimate interests in improving and operating ELS. Where consent is the appropriate basis, for example for optional microphone submission or certain marketing activity, you can withdraw that consent.

AI speaking practice

If you use an AI speaking feature, your recording may be sent to a transcription service and the resulting transcript may be processed by an AI service to generate formative language feedback. AI feedback is not an official SELT result, immigration decision, medical assessment or guaranteed measure of CEFR level. Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in practice answers.

Who we share information with

We may use service providers that help us host the website, process forms, deliver email, analyse website usage, process payments, collect independent customer reviews, and provide transcription or AI functionality. Providers receive information only as needed to perform those services and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations. Our current platform is designed to use Stripe for subscription billing, Trustpilot to invite verified paying customers to review their service experience, and OpenAI services for optional transcription/AI feedback when those features are configured. For a Trustpilot invitation, ELS may provide the customer’s name, email address and transaction reference; Trustpilot controls the invitation and its own handling of that information.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we take account of the safeguards required by applicable UK data-protection law and the arrangements offered by the relevant provider.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of whether your account remains active, whether learning history is needed to provide the service, security requirements, dispute handling and any legal or accounting retention obligations. You can ask us to delete your account or learning information, subject to information we must retain by law or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law can give you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and the right to withdraw consent where consent is relied on. Contact us to exercise a right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Cookies and analytics

ELS may use essential cookies for secure login/session functionality and analytics technologies to understand website usage. Essential account cookies are needed for signed-in services. Where non-essential cookies require consent, they should not be activated before the relevant consent is obtained.

Security

We use measures including password hashing, server-side sessions, access controls, HTTPS-dependent secure cookies, CSRF protection and role-based access for teacher/student areas. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

The account and subscription features are intended for learners who are permitted to use the service under the applicable course and account rules. If personal information about a child is provided, the person arranging the service should ensure they have appropriate authority to do so.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when services, processors or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
